In a security message dated February 28, 2026, the mission recommended that all American citizens in the UAE also shelter in place until further notice. The advisory comes amid heightened tensions across the region and precautionary measures implemented by multiple governments.
The embassy urged US nationals to find a secure location within their residence or another safe building and to maintain adequate supplies of food, water, medications and other essential items.
