UAE weather alert warns of heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas across the country on Friday.

ABU DHABI: A UAE weather alert has been issued as unsettled conditions are expected across the country, with heavy rainfall, strong winds and rough seas forecast for Friday.

According to National Centre of Meteorology, the UAE weather alert indicates partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with convective cloud formation bringing periods of heavy rain across most areas. Temperatures are also expected to drop during the day.

Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, ranging between 15 and 30 km per hour, with gusts reaching up to 60 km per hour at times. These conditions may reduce visibility in certain areas and create challenging driving conditions, particularly during rainfall.

The UAE weather alert also highlights rough sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Wave activity is expected to intensify, especially in areas affected by cloud formations, prompting caution for maritime activities.

In the Arabian Gulf, the second high tide is expected at 08:05, while the first low tide will occur at 15:02. In the Sea of Oman, the first high tide is forecast at 18:26, followed by a second high tide at 05:10. The first low tide will be at 10:55, with the second low tide at 23:56.

Authorities have advised residents to stay updated through official weather channels and to take necessary precautions, especially when travelling or engaging in outdoor and marine activities. Motorists are urged to drive carefully during wet conditions, while seafarers are advised to remain vigilant due to rough seas.

The UAE weather alert underscores the importance of preparedness as changing weather conditions are expected to impact multiple regions across the country.
