UAE President met Elon Musk to discuss strategic cooperation in AI and advanced technology to drive global innovation.
ABU DHABI: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held a high-level meeting with Elon Musk, the American entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and xAI, to explore ways to advance cooperation in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
During the discussions, the two leaders focused on the evolving impact of advanced technologies on global development and the critical role of AI in shaping future societies. They emphasised the importance of international partnerships in accelerating innovation, improving quality of life, and creating sustainable digital solutions for current and future challenges.
The meeting underscored the UAE’s continued commitment to global collaboration in technology and AI, aligning with national strategies that prioritise knowledge exchange and joint innovation efforts. His Highness noted the value of strategic dialogues with international leaders to support the UAE’s vision for digital transformation and tech-driven progress.
Also present were key UAE leaders, including Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; and Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC), among others.
The presence of top decision-makers highlights the UAE’s proactive stance on positioning itself as a global innovation hub. The discussions with Musk reflect a shared ambition to foster advanced technologies that can address global priorities, from climate change and mobility to AI ethics and scalable infrastructure.
