The UAE President has accepted a US invitation to join the Board of Peace, backing efforts to advance peace in Gaza.
ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has accepted an invitation from the United States to join the Board of Peace, reinforcing the UAE’s continued role in advancing international peace and stability. The announcement was made by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stated that the UAE’s decision reflects the importance of fully implementing US President Donald J. Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza, which he described as critical for achieving the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He emphasised that sustainable peace requires practical steps, international cooperation and firm political commitment.
The UAE reaffirmed its confidence in President Trump’s leadership and his stated commitment to global peace initiatives. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the Abraham Accords as a clear example of how dialogue and diplomacy can reshape regional relations and create long-term opportunities for stability and cooperation.
By joining the Board of Peace, the UAE aims to play an active and constructive role in promoting conflict resolution, humanitarian progress and political dialogue. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed that the UAE remains ready to contribute meaningfully to the board’s mission, supporting efforts that enhance cooperation, security and prosperity for all involved parties.
