UAE agentic AI framework aims to transform 50 per cent of government services within two years, boosting efficiency and decision-making.
DUBAI: UAE agentic AI framework has been unveiled as part of a major government transformation plan, aiming to integrate autonomous artificial intelligence systems across 50 per cent of federal operations within two years. The initiative positions the UAE as the first country to deploy agentic AI at this scale in government.
Announced during a UAE Cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the plan follows directives from the UAE President to accelerate advanced technology adoption across public services. The UAE agentic AI framework will enable systems capable of analysing data, making decisions and executing tasks with minimal human intervention.
Sheikh Mohammed said, “Our government will be the first government in the world to largely deploy Agentic AI models across its government sectors and operations.” He added that artificial intelligence will act as an “executive partner” to enhance services, improve efficiency and deliver real-time performance insights.
The UAE agentic AI framework includes redesigning policies, processes and procedures to align with AI capabilities. It also focuses on training government employees to master AI tools, ensuring national talent is equipped to lead the transformation.
Implementation will be overseen by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, with a dedicated taskforce chaired by Mohammad Al Gergawi managing execution. The rollout will follow a phased approach, with performance measured based on adoption speed, impact and innovation across ministries.
The initiative builds on the UAE’s long-standing digital transformation journey, including early eGovernment adoption and the AI Strategy 2031. Officials say the UAE agentic AI framework will reduce operational costs, enhance productivity and deliver faster, more responsive public services.
