Parkin smart parking cameras aim to improve parking access, automate payments and support Dubai’s connected mobility goals.

DUBAI: Parkin Company PJSC has launched the first phase of its advanced smart parking camera systems across Dubai, introducing new AI-powered technology designed to improve parking efficiency and customer convenience. The rollout includes more than 500 curb and pole cameras currently being installed in Trade Centre 1, Burj Khalifa and Al Corniche, marking a significant step in the city’s smart mobility ambitions.

According to the company, the curb-side systems are the first of their kind in the region. The Parkin smart parking cameras use AI-enabled imaging technology to capture vehicle information, automatically read number plates and track parking durations. The system can also detect violations, monitor occupancy in real time and enable automated parking fee payments without manual intervention.

In addition to on-street parking, Parkin has also deployed parking lot cameras across controlled parking areas within Dubai. Around 200 additional cameras are planned for installation across several locations in the emirate. All systems will operate using solar-powered infrastructure while integrating directly with the Parkin mobile application.

The company said the technology is expected to reduce congestion caused by drivers searching for parking spaces while improving turnover and parking availability across busy districts. Through the Parkin app, users will be able to access auto-payment features through the Parkin Wallet, helping create a smoother and more predictable parking experience.

Chief Executive Officer Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali said adopting smart technologies remains central to Parkin’s strategy for improving urban mobility and parking management across Dubai. Chief Technology Officer Eng. Talal Al Ajmi added that real-time data and connected systems would support more efficient and scalable operations as the network expands further.

Parkin smart parking cameras are expected to support Dubai’s wider vision for connected transport infrastructure while improving convenience for residents and visitors across the city.
