The Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans has received AED 100 million from Erth Zayed Philanthropies to strengthen sustainable support for orphan care across the UAE.
ABU DHABI: The Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans has received a major AED 100 million contribution from Erth Zayed Philanthropies, reinforcing the UAE’s long standing commitment to humanitarian work and sustainable community development.
The contribution was approved by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The initiative was launched by Awqaf Abu Dhabi under the patronage of President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans is designed as a sustainable waqf platform dedicated to supporting orphan care across the country. Funds will be invested through an approved endowment mechanism overseen by Awqaf Abu Dhabi, ensuring long term sustainability and measurable social impact. The proceeds will support access to education, healthcare and social empowerment programmes aimed at improving quality of life and expanding opportunities for orphaned children.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed said the initiative reflects the values of compassion, dignity and social solidarity championed by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. He noted that the UAE continues to strengthen a culture of sustainable giving that safeguards opportunity for future generations.
The Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans also reinforces the philanthropic legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and highlights the country’s continued leadership in humanitarian initiatives.
The contribution aligns with national efforts focused on family and childhood development, while strengthening partnerships that support vulnerable members of society through structured, long term solutions.
