Lucid Air Grand Touring added to Dubai Police Tourist Patrols
Sat 05 Oct 2024DUBAI: Dubai Police has added the Lucid Air Grand Touring, a cutting-edge electric vehicle, to its tourist police patrol fleet. The vehicle, unveiled in full police livery, is part of the force’s efforts to support the UAE’s green economy vision and promote sustainable practices.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received the vehicle from Faisal Sultan, Vice President and Managing Director of Lucid Middle East, during a handover event at the Dubai Police Officers Club. Several high-ranking officers and officials attended the ceremony.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, focusing on eco-friendly development and reducing carbon emissions. He noted that the introduction of the electric Lucid Air Grand Touring enhances the visibility of the Tourist Police Department, especially in key tourist areas and community events, strengthening the relationship between Dubai Police and the public.
Faisal Sultan expressed pride in supporting the electrification of Dubai Police’s fleet, noting Lucid’s expanding presence in the emirate with the opening of their first retail studio at City Walk.
The Lucid Air Grand Touring, with its impressive 819-horsepower and a range of up to 839 km on a single charge, showcases Lucid’s advanced technology. The 2024 model has even greater innovations, offering a longer driving range and faster charging.
