LEGOLAND Dubai introduces its first Junior LEGO Builder School Challenge across 220 Dubai schools, encouraging teamwork and creative play with LEGO bricks.
DUBAI: LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort has unveiled a unique inter-school competition—the Junior LEGO® Builder: School Challenge Edition—targeting students aged 6 to 12 across 220 schools in Dubai. The contest is a celebration of creative learning through play, teamwork, and innovation, aimed at nurturing young minds into becoming the Builders of Tomorrow.
The challenge is divided into two exciting stages. In the first stage, schools can nominate one team of four students and a teacher to construct their version of the “Theme Park of the Future” using LEGO® bricks. These designs should showcase sustainability, inclusivity, and futuristic attractions. Teams will submit entries with photos, a written summary, and a short video by 20 March 2026.
Fifteen teams will then be shortlisted for a live finale at LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort during its 10th anniversary celebrations. Here, students will take part in an exciting build-off to create LEGO® masterpieces in a real-world environment with a surprise final theme revealed on the day.
The competition prizes include LEGO® trophies for top three teams, a full-day resort experience, and a hands-on LEGO® workshop led by a Master Model Builder. The overall winning creation will be scaled and permanently displayed in MINILAND, commemorating both the students’ achievement and the park’s anniversary.
This initiative is designed not only to inspire creativity but also to build real-life skills such as communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and confidence through playful learning.
Tim Harrison-Jones, Leisure and Hospitality Director at LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort, stated: “Through the Junior LEGO® Builder: School Challenge Edition, we’re proud to give students meaningful opportunities to learn through play. By encouraging children to build, experiment, and collaborate, the Challenge supports hands-on learning that helps bring classroom ideas to life in a fun, engaging way.”
