Indian passport and visa applicants in the UAE can now book appointments through a new online portal introduced by the Embassy of India and the Consulate General of India. Walk-in services will continue on a limited basis, with priority given to emergency cases.

ABU DHABI / DUBAI: Wondering how to book an Indian passport or visa appointment in the UAE? The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai have introduced a new online appointment portal to make passport, visa and attestation services more organised and reduce waiting times during the ongoing transition to a new outsourced service provider.

For administrative reasons, Passport-Visa-Attestation services are presently being extended directly on a walk-in basis at the premises of the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai.

    For the convenience of the applicants, an appointment portal is now available to obtain these Passport, Visa & Attestation services.   All applicants can book an appointment at the portal – book.passportindiauae.com  

    The applicants holding prior appointment will be allowed entry 15 minutes before the appointment time. In order to avoid crowding, only applicants will be allowed entry inside the Embassy and Consulate premises, except for minor applicants where both parents are required to be present.

    The entry in the Embassy in Abu Dhabi for applying for CPV services will be from the Main gate of the Embassy located at Al Safarat Street, Abu Dhabi. All queries and clarifications, including those related to delivery of documents will be addressed at the Consular Wing located at Unit No. 101, 1st Floor, Guardian Tower (Technip Building), Al Ishirah Street, Abu Dhabi. 

    The entry at the Consulate General of India in Dubai for applying for Passport & Visa will be from Gate No. 2. The applicants wishing to avail of Attestation services may enter from Gate No.1. All other queries like delivery of documents, queries for already submitted applications, labor issues etc. will be entertained from Gate no.1

    Walk-in services, on a limited scale, will be available from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the premises of the Embassy in Abu Dhabi & the Consulate General in Dubai. Priority will be given to New born cases & Emergency Certificates. All other service seekers are encouraged to book appointment in order to avoid long waiting time.

    The following guidelines may kindly be adhered to for fast and smooth service delivery:

    • The applicants must visit with completely filled application forms and supporting documents.
    • The passport application form can be filled on mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/. Please read instructions carefully before filling the form and uploading pictures, signatures, and documents.
    • Passport applicants must ensure that the signatures/thumb impression are uploaded correctly with a clear white background.
    • The applicable fees will be received only in Cash. Applicants are kindly advised to keep exact change. The applicants may please note the new passport fee that is effective since 1 July 2026.
