Guggenheim Abu Dhabi tickets are now on sale for the museum’s December 11, 2026 opening, with general admission priced at AED 70.
ABU DHABI: Guggenheim Abu Dhabi tickets are officially on sale, giving residents and international visitors the chance to book ahead of one of the UAE capital’s most anticipated cultural openings on December 11, 2026. The museum’s official website is now accepting bookings.
General admission has been set at AED 70. Visitors under 18, UAE students, and citizens and residents aged 60 and above can enter free of charge, while reduced admission rates will be offered to other eligible groups.
What visitors can expect
Located in Saadiyat Cultural District, the museum will focus on modern and contemporary art, bringing together its collection, exhibitions, commissioned works and public programmes.
Its arrival adds another major institution to Saadiyat Island’s growing cultural landscape, alongside Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi.
Visitors buying Guggenheim Abu Dhabi tickets will also be stepping inside one of the late architect Frank Gehry’s most ambitious designs.
The Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate designed the building with expansive galleries, interconnected spaces and extensive outdoor exhibition areas. The museum also features a central atrium and 10 sculptural cones.
Why the building is part of the experience
The architecture has been conceived as more than a backdrop for the artworks. Its dramatic spaces are designed to shape how visitors move through and experience modern and contemporary art.
The museum encompasses 80,000 square metres of total built-up area, including 11,600 square metres of interior gallery space and 23,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition areas. Its sculptural cones reach heights of up to 88 metres and also provide natural ventilation and shade.
The museum’s collection has been developing since 2009 and will explore major strands of art since 1960, including abstraction, popular culture, land, language and storytelling. Rather than presenting art solely through a linear chronology, the museum plans to highlight connections across different regions, generations and artistic practices.
