Dubai Police AI Department reaches 100% Digitization Milestone

Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Excellence and Pioneering Affairs, praised the Dubai Police General Department of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for their invaluable efforts in implementing artificial and digital intelligence systems and utilizing smart technology to ensure providing convenient and easily accessible services to the public.

This came during the Department’s annual inspection visit in the presence of H.E Major General Ahmed Mohamed Rafie, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs; Major General Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Department at Dubai Police; Dr. Brigadier Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department for Excellence and Pioneering, and several senior officers and employees.

Maj. Gen. Al Obaidly emphasized the significant importance and pivotal role of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence in advancing the Dubai Police’s excellence at both local and global levels. He highlighted the Department’s innovative and proficient deployment of artificial intelligence and digital systems. Furthermore, he indicated that the Department actively contributes to strengthening security levels and safety indicators by leveraging cutting-edge programs and modern technologies.

During the visit, Maj. Gen. Al Obaidly reviewed the achievements and the strategic indicators of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, most notably the Department’s remarkable accomplishments of achieving 100% digitization and an outstanding job satisfaction rate of 98.1%.

Technological Projects

He also received a comprehensive briefing on the 74 projects currently being implemented by the General Department of Artificial Intelligence since 2022, with an impressive accomplishment rate of 95%, surpassing the targeted 90%.

Furthermore, he gained valuable insights into the technological initiatives involving artificial intelligence and blockchain, as well as the robust digital infrastructure of the Dubai Police, which plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of administrative processes and intelligent systems, achieving an outstanding reliability rate of 99.98%.

Infosec and Awareness

Al Obaidly reviewed the information security indicators, the outcomes of targeted awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing employees’ electronic awareness, and the mechanisms of training and development for them in the field of technology.

At the end of the visit, Al Obaidly reviewed the future strategic plan that encompassed artificial intelligence, smart technologies, and big data, as well as the notable international awards that the General Department of Artificial Intelligence had obtained both locally and globally during the past year.
