Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed convened a Dubai Majlis with nearly 300 senior business leaders to reinforce Dubai’s economic resilience and sustain momentum in trade, tourism, and investment.

DUBAI: In a show of unity and quiet confidence, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, brought together nearly 300 of the emirate’s top business leaders at a specially convened Dubai Majlis on March 9, 2026.

The message from the room was clear: Dubai is not standing still.

Organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the meeting was designed to deepen cooperation between government and the private sector, align on strategy, and reinforce the kind of confidence that has made Dubai one of the world’s most trusted economic hubs.

Sheikh Hamdan set the tone early. “Thanks to the vision of our wise leadership and our close partnership with the business community, Dubai continues to move forward with confidence to strengthen the resilience of its economy and reinforce its position as a global hub for trade, tourism and investment,” he said.

The Majlis featured detailed briefings from Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Major General Abdul Nasser Al Humaidi, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, and Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline. Also in attendance were Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications.

Sir Tim Clark offered a reassuring update on aviation, noting that operations are steadily ramping up and that global demand for travel through Dubai remains strong.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said the meeting sends a clear message of shared commitment to push Dubai’s economic resilience forward, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

The gathering concluded with a collective pledge to keep Dubai moving, growing, and leading.
