The ADIHEX falcon auction has set a new 2026 record after a rare Pure Ultra White falcon sold for AED 1.5 million in Abu Dhabi.
ABU DHABI: A rare Pure Ultra White falcon has sold for AED 1.5 million at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2026, setting the highest auction price recorded during this year’s event. The landmark sale at the ADIHEX falcon auction highlights the growing international profile of Abu Dhabi’s falconry sector and the demand for exceptional birds among collectors and falconers.
The Qarmoosha Pure Ultra White falcon was sold during the fifth auction held as part of the 23rd edition of ADIHEX. The bird, owned by Mark Moglich Falcon Farm in the United States, attracted considerable attention for its rare pure white colouring and distinctive physical characteristics.
Weighing 1,000 grams and measuring 16.5 inches in both length and width, the falcon eventually sold for AED 1.5 million, equivalent to approximately USD 408,000. According to organisers, it is the highest price achieved at an auction during the 2026 edition of the exhibition.
The record comes during the largest auction programme in ADIHEX history. Held under the theme “A Legacy of Pride”, the exhibition is organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The event continues until September 6, 2026.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, said: “The exceptional calibre of the falcons participating in these auctions reflects the global standing they have achieved through the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.”
He added that the auctions provide a platform bringing together leading falcons and bloodlines from around the world, while supporting breed quality, sustainability and efforts to preserve Emirati falconry traditions for future generations.
Interest in the ADIHEX falcon auction is also reflected in increased participation from breeders. This year, 55 local and international falcon breeding and care farms are taking part, representing a 20% increase compared with the previous edition. Nine of the farms are participating for the first time.
The growing international presence strengthens ADIHEX’s position as a meeting point for breeders, falconers and enthusiasts while connecting modern breeding expertise with a tradition deeply rooted in Emirati culture.
Impact to expect
The AED 1.5 million sale could further raise Abu Dhabi’s profile as an international centre for premium falcon breeding, auctions and heritage tourism. The record achieved at the ADIHEX falcon auction may also attract more international breeders and buyers while supporting efforts to preserve falconry as an important part of UAE cultural heritage.
