Abu Dhabi: Etihad Rail has unveiled plans for a cutting-edge high-speed passenger rail service that will revolutionise travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Promising a journey time of just 30 minutes, this ambitious project is set to redefine connectivity between the UAE’s two bustling emirates.

The trains will reach impressive speeds of up to 350kph, running along a route designed to connect key destinations and popular tourist attractions. This strategic development aims to enhance accessibility while supporting the UAE’s vision for sustainable and efficient transportation.

Initially, four passenger train stations will be launched in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. These stations will seamlessly integrate with existing metro and bus networks, creating a unified public transport ecosystem that caters to all passengers.

Each station will offer modern facilities, including business-class lounges for premium travellers, retail outlets for shopping convenience, and family-friendly amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. This comprehensive approach to station design reflects Etihad Rail’s commitment to providing a world-class passenger service.

The high-speed rail network is expected to significantly reduce travel time, ease congestion on the roads, and encourage eco-friendly travel alternatives. It also aligns with the UAE’s broader goals of fostering economic growth, supporting tourism, and offering a greener, more efficient mode of transportation.

Etihad Rail’s passenger service will not only connect the emirates but also strengthen social and economic ties across the UAE. With stations strategically placed and equipped with top-tier facilities, the rail network is poised to become a cornerstone of the nation’s infrastructure, making travel faster, greener, and more convenient for residents and tourists alike.
