ABU DHABI: The UAE and India are deepening cultural collaboration following a high-level meeting between Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi and K. Nandini Singla, Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The discussions focused on expanding artistic, educational, and creative industry partnerships.
The UAE delegation included senior officials from the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Sports, and UAE Embassy in India, highlighting the strategic importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations.
A key focus was the operational launch of the India-UAE Cultural Council, aimed at fostering people-to-people connections. Discussions also explored the establishment of India House in the UAE, envisioned as a hub for showcasing India’s artistic and cultural heritage on a global scale.
Additionally, both nations outlined plans to support creative start-ups, encourage business-to-business collaborations, and form thematic sub-committees to oversee partnerships in priority sectors, including heritage conservation and youth engagement.
Noura Al Kaabi stated, “The meeting with Nandini Singla and the ICCR delegation served as a symbol of the UAE and India’s shared commitment to developing enhanced cultural and creative partnerships. By expanding cultural exchanges and fostering collaboration across our dynamic art and creative communities, we are ensuring that the enduring ties between our two nations continue to flourish.”
The meeting concluded with both delegations reaffirming their commitment to implement concrete initiatives in line with the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
