MUMBAI: Axis Bank is shaking things up in the digital banking world with a fresh, secure, and uniquely Indian twist—the Devanagari PIN. This innovative feature blends tradition with technology, letting users create memorable yet ultra-secure banking PINs using the Devanagari script.

Forget boring number combinations! With this new feature, you can turn your favourite Hindi word, mantra, or even a childhood nickname into a secure PIN—one that’s easy to remember but tough for hackers to crack. Axis Bank believes this adds a layer of personal security while making banking more inclusive for Hindi-speaking users.

Announcing the feature on X (formerly Twitter), Axis Bank said, “Your banking PIN can now be as memorable as your favourite book, movie, or dish—yet almost impossible for scammers to guess! Just head to Devanagaripin.com, type any word, and generate a secure PIN instantly.”

Here’s how it works: Instead of the usual four or six digits, your PIN is linked to a word in Devanagari, and each character corresponds to a numeric value. This adds a layer of unpredictability, making it significantly harder for cybercriminals to crack your code.

With online fraud on the rise, this move is a game-changer. It’s not just a security upgrade—it’s a cultural connection, making banking safer, smarter, and a little more personal.
