More than 20 Public Gatherings of residents, students, and blue-collars in Dubai for the 100th episode of “Mann ki Baat”

Dubai: On the 100th episode of PM Modi’s “Mann ki Baat“, people in Dubai observed it at the community and official levels. CGI office invited the Indian community, school students, and blue-collar workers to observe this occasion and listen to “Mann ki Baat” together. People in Dubai were very excited as in the past PM Modi mentioned the different groups of Dubai in his “Mann ki Baat” episode.  

This is probably the only such program of its kind across the countries of the world where such a top leader tries to communicate with people on issues of social importance. Its outreach can be understood by a study by IIM Rohtak that at least 100 crore people have listened to this program at least once. Irrespective of the political ideology or party politics, this is something for which every party leader should appreciate the PM, for the subject issues he raised, for the continuity, and for the example of effective communication and connectivity.

In the 96th episode 25th December 2022, of “Mann ki Baat”, PM Modi mentioned the Karali Club of Dubai. Kalari Club of Dubai is giving training on Kalaripayattu, an ancient Indian Martial art with more than 3000 years of history also nicknamed the “Mother of Martial Arts”. Kalari Club Dubai is an institution in the United Arab Emirates recognized by the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the UAE Karate Federation. 

A delegation of trainers and students of Kalari Club was present during the “Mann ki Baat” for motivation and enjoyed it. Sajan Kumar, a student at Kalari Club Dubai said that, as an Indian born and brought up in UAE, we are privileged and honored that the Prime Minister mentioned about us in “Mann ki Baat”. It was an honor that we are situated in UAE and Indian PM acknowledged our efforts on radio.  That brings us to connect back to our country to connect back to our roots and ancestors.

In the 72nd episode of “Mann ki Baat” on Dec 27, 2020, PM Modi mentioned about the GI tag and export of Kashmiri saffron into the market of Dubai. Talking to ANI, Kamal Vachani (partner and group director-Al Maya Group) said that we are grateful that PM Modi mentioned us in “Mann ki Baat” and gives us the opportunity to launch it in the Dubai market. After the GI tag this Kashmiri saffron is quite popular in the local market and among local Arabs too.    

After the “Mann ki Baat”, addressed to the audience, the Consulate General of India, Dr. Aman Puri mentioned that due to technology this PM message is not respected only within India. As we have a huge diaspora worldwide, PM Modi has made a connection with the diaspora community through “Mann ki Baat”. As are honored that in 2 episodes PM Modi mentioned our UAE Indian community. People across the globe have seen how a Prime Minister of the world’s largest community has been able to connect, draw ideas, take input, and use them.  “Mann ki Baat” is one of his innovations that enabled direct communication between the PM and citizens”.  

Ranbir Singh, a student in grade 11 from JSS school said that “Mann ki Baat” ki an opportunity for us students to realize the great culture of India. PM Modi’s “Maan ki Baat” is motivating and educating us about the initiatives happening in the remote parts of India. Another student Riya Jhonson of grade 11 from the same school said that “I am glad that this type of PM’s initiative is connecting to people, as we in school are highly connected to our history and culture. It is amazing to see that PM Modi is interacting with common pupils and students during his talk”. 

On the other hand, the Indian People Forum UAE organized the public screening of “Mann ki Baat” at 15 different places across the UAE with group discussion after the “Mann ki Baat”. These places were not only confined to offices but labor camps also. While talking to IANS Jitendra Vaidya (President of Indian People’s Forum UAE) on “Mann ki Baat” 100th episode, explained that IPF chapters and council members, families, and friends got together at 15 different locations all over the UAE in large numbers to Listen to the beloved PM Narendra Modi speak at “Mann ki Baat” as it completed its 100 episodes today.  The list of topics covered over these hundred episodes brought back huge pride and palpable dividend in the success of the ‘Incredible India’ campaign and the wholehearted compliance to visit at least 15 different locations within the country to breathe life back into the tourism industry & provide employment and livelihood to millions of simple countrymen”. 

As “Mann ki Baat” started, the congregation broke out with joy with shouts of Bharat Mata ki Jai, the emotional connection with the country so palpable in the groups.
