Matthew Perry’s sweater and Friends couch sold at auction

Matthew Perry’s jumper, which appeared in “The One With the Holiday Armadillo” episode, sold for $6,500 (AED 24,000). That’s more than six times its original estimate! In this scene, Monica tells Chandler she won’t be changing her last name to Bing, making the jumper even more memorable for fans.

The real star of the auction, though, was a studio reproduction of the famous orange sofa from Central Perk. The couch, which hosted countless scenes over the years, sold for a staggering $29,250 (AED 107,000), 15 times more than its estimated value. That’s a serious price to pay for some prime ‘Friends’ nostalgia!

But it wasn’t just Perry’s sweater and the sofa that stole the show. Plenty of other props and outfits were also up for grabs. A pink outfit worn by Winona Ryder in her guest appearance went for $2,600 (AED 9,500). Bruce Willis, another memorable guest star, had a white shirt in the auction which sold for $3,250 (AED 12,000). These pieces weren’t just clothes, but little bits of ‘Friends’ history that fans were eager to own.
