Dubai Police electric patrol expands with the Lotus Emeya-S, showcasing innovation, sustainability, and high-tech performance at tourist hotspots.
Dubai: Dubai Police have unveiled the fully electric Lotus Emeya-S as the latest addition to their luxury fleet, reinforcing their focus on sustainability and innovation. The launch of the Dubai Police electric patrol vehicle took place at the World Police Summit, held at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The unveiling was led by HE Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, alongside senior officials from the Dubai Police and Lotus. The Emeya-S now joins prominent patrol zones including the Burj Khalifa, JBR, and Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard.
This eco-luxury marvel is powered by 603 horsepower, achieves 0–100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, and boasts a range of up to 600 km on a full charge. With a top speed of 250 km/h, the Emeya-S blends high-performance with zero emissions. It features autonomous driving capabilities, futuristic design, and advanced digital and entertainment systems.
Major General Al Mansouri highlighted how the Dubai Police electric patrol reflects the force’s strategy to modernise operations and enhance engagement with residents and tourists. “These vehicles not only elevate the image of Dubai Police but also enable officers to engage with residents and tourists by offering information, guidance, and promoting the community role of the force,” he noted.
Mr. Ramzi Al Atat, Regional Marketing and PR Director at Lotus, celebrated the partnership, following the earlier inclusion of the Lotus Eletre R. “Using environmentally friendly vehicles in public service demonstrates the force’s forward-thinking approach,” he added.
A commemorative plaque was presented to Lotus during the ceremony, concluding with a group photo of dignitaries.
