UAE airports remain fully open but airlines including Emirates, flydubai, Etihad and Air Arabia are operating reduced schedules as regional airspace disruption continues to affect routes and flight times.

DUBAI: UAE airports remained open on April 3, but airlines across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah continued to operate under reduced and shifting schedules as regional airspace disruption persisted. Passengers are again being urged to check their flight status before heading to the airport and to expect possible delays, longer flight times and ongoing operational changes.

Emirates confirmed it is running a reduced schedule, while flydubai, Etihad and Air Arabia are also operating trimmed operations. Some flights are taking longer than usual due to rerouting around affected airspace, adding to travel times on certain routes.

Several international carriers are still holding back from a full return to UAE routes. Singapore Airlines has extended its Dubai suspension until May 31, joining a growing list of foreign airlines that have delayed resuming normal operations to and from the UAE.

Despite the disruptions, UAE airports are described as fully open and functioning. The current situation reflects a carefully managed, reduced-capacity environment rather than a shutdown, with airlines adjusting dynamically as conditions evolve across the region.

Authorities and carriers have continued to coordinate closely to maintain as much connectivity as possible while prioritising passenger safety and operational reliability. Travellers are advised to stay in close contact with their airlines and monitor official channels for the latest updates before travelling to the airport.

The situation remains fluid, and further schedule changes are possible as regional airspace conditions continue to shift.
