ABU DHABI: The UAE is set to host the ‘Made in Russia’ festival-fair for the first time, bringing a unique showcase of Russian products and culture to Yas Bay Waterfront from February 21 to 25. Organised by the Russian Export Centre (REC) with support from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event aims to promote Russian-made goods while fostering trade and cultural ties.
Visitors can explore a wide range of Russian food products, including canned vegetables, pastries, jams, baby food, dairy items, and snacks from top manufacturers. Live cooking masterclasses featuring Russian and Arab cuisines will offer attendees a taste of Russia’s culinary heritage.
Beyond food, the festival will feature cosmetics, souvenirs, and clothing from over 10 Russian brands. Business discussions will play a key role, with Russian producers engaging with UAE distributors, retail chains, and industry leaders across sectors like construction materials, timber, equipment, food, and cosmetics.
Veronika Nikishina, General Director of REC, highlighted the UAE’s strategic role as a priority market for Russian exports and a gateway to the Middle East. She emphasised that the festival will strengthen trade and cultural cooperation, offering a platform for businesses to expand their presence.
The festival’s theme will highlight Mezen painting, an ancient Russian folk art, alongside a cultural programme featuring folk dances, musical performances, and screenings of Russian animated films.
Following successful editions in China, this marks the first ‘Made in Russia’ festival in the UAE, promising an immersive experience blending business and tradition.
