SHARJAH: The Sharjah Ladies Club will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its popular event, the Sharjah Ladies Run, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Club, on February 15th. With the theme “10 Trips Around the Sun,” the event will take place from 18:00 to 22:00 at Al Seyouh Ladies Park, commemorating a decade of promoting healthy living and empowering women.
Since its inception, the event has grown in popularity, becoming the premier women-only running event in Sharjah. The run attracts women and girls, aged 12 and above, and reflects the Club’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for women through physical activity.
Participants can register for the race via the Sharjah Ladies Club mobile app, with tips on exercise and nutrition shared on the Club’s social media platforms to support participants in their preparations.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary, the first-place winner will receive a cash prize of AED 10,000, with the top three finishers in the 5km category sharing a total of AED 27,000 in prizes, along with gifts from event sponsors. Special prizes will be awarded to encourage Emirati participation, reinforcing the Club’s mission to empower Emirati women in diverse fields.
