DUBAI: A pioneering new expo called LEVEL UP is set to redefine sports technology in the region as it launches from November 27–29 at Dubai Harbour. The three-day event promises to be the region’s largest gathering of sports innovation, featuring more than 45 startups pitching to over 400 C-suite executives and venture capitalists, alongside live demonstrations, expert talks, and interactive fan zones.

LEVEL UP is the first-of-its-kind initiative by Global MICE Organisation Limited (GMOLx) in partnership with Dubai Sports Council. It aims to position Dubai as a leading global sports tech hub, spotlighting how emerging technologies are revolutionising how sport is played, watched and monetised. The expo will feature over 70 speakers, 75 exhibitors, and global names including Sportradar, DAZN, LaLiga, Microsoft, Saudi Pro League, Olympique Lyonnais and Qatar Stars League.

Visitors will experience a mix of B2B and consumer-focused activities, including tech-driven coaching demos, esports tournaments, wearable tech showcases, and interactive workshops. Highlights include street football champion Sean Garnier and basketball sensation The Professor leading court sessions, Urbanball shows, and on-site padel experiences by World Padel Academy.

Namir Hourani, Managing Director of GMOLx, said the expo “represents a fundamental shift in how the region approaches sports innovation.” Startups will showcase solutions across five verticals including performance analytics, fan engagement, smart venues, Web3 integrations, and wearable tech. The event also sees participation from venture firms such as LEAD.VC and Courtside Ventures.

In line with Dubai’s growing USD 2.5 billion sports economy, LEVEL UP aligns with the UAE’s national innovation goals, offering a gateway into the GCC’s emerging sports tech ecosystem. Live tournaments, fitness classes, youth education, and Special Olympics sessions are also part of the immersive experience for attendees.

With content partners like Microsoft-powered GSIC and TikTok amplifying the message, LEVEL UP is set to become an annual cornerstone for innovation in sport across the Middle East and beyond.
