SHARJAH: The spotlight will shine on Indian culture once again as Sharjah prepares to host the seventh edition of Come On Kerala, the largest Indian trade and cultural fair in the Middle East, from May 9 to 11. The event will take place at Expo Centre Sharjah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
Organised by Gulf Madhyamam in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Come On Kerala 2024 will feature over 300 exhibitors from both the UAE and India. The three-day extravaganza is expected to attract more than 275,000 visitors.
The event goes beyond business, celebrating the vibrant essence of Kerala through 20+ cultural and entertainment programmes. From traditional cuisine to music, fashion, and family experiences, this edition promises a true slice of Kerala.
Bollywood icons Mohanlal and Priya Mani will headline live performances, adding star power to the festival atmosphere. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs from both nations will showcase innovations in healthcare, tourism, education, interior design, and retail.
Officials from SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah stressed the event’s role in strengthening UAE–India ties and reinforcing Sharjah’s image as a cultural and trade hub. Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General at SCCI, said the event supports Sharjah’s strategic economic goals with India.
Jamal Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication at SCCI, highlighted its value in promoting trade and investment. Expo Centre Sharjah confirmed that preparations are complete to deliver a seamless visitor experience.
