Dubai Fashion Week began with Alberta Ferretti’s Milan collection, marking a milestone for the UAE’s rising global fashion influence.
DUBAI: Dubai Fashion Week 2026 opened in style with a landmark showcase by Italian fashion house Alberta Ferretti, unveiling its Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collection titled Portrait of a Lady at Dubai Design District (d3). The event, held from 1 to 6 February, is hosted by d3 and the Arab Fashion Council.
This season’s launch marked the first time the acclaimed Ferretti collection was presented in the region, following its Milan debut. The direct transfer from Milan to Dubai reflects the UAE’s growing role as a global fashion hub and a bridge between cultures in the luxury fashion industry.
Designer Lorenzo Serafini blended traditional Italian elegance with modern flair, presenting garments inspired by Victorian-era femininity, interpreted through strong, contemporary silhouettes. The show celebrated the resilience and ambition of women, infusing romantic detail with structured confidence.
The opening drew regional and international designers, buyers, and creative leaders to the UAE, reinforcing Dubai’s rising status in the global fashion ecosystem. Attendees praised the fusion of European heritage with Middle Eastern sophistication.
Dubai Fashion Week is quickly emerging as a key event on the global style calendar, highlighting local and international talent while promoting Dubai as a destination for innovation in design. Alberta Ferretti’s participation further validates the city’s growing appeal to world-renowned brands.
This edition continues through February 6 with a lineup of established designers and emerging voices showcasing collections that highlight diversity, creativity, and cross-cultural dialogue.
As Dubai strengthens its position in the global fashion industry, such international collaborations reflect a future where the city stands shoulder to shoulder with traditional capitals like Paris, Milan and New York.
