MUMBAI: The spotlight’s back on Aamir Khan as he officially unveils the first poster of Sitaare Zameen Par, set to hit cinemas worldwide on June 20, 2025. The film, touted as a spiritual sequel to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, marks Khan’s much-awaited return to the big screen.
Promising a journey filled with love, laughter, and happiness, the poster introduces not just Aamir, but ten debutant actors. The newcomers – Aaroush Datta, Gopi Krishna, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar – bring a youthful, fresh energy to the film.
Sitaare Zameen Par pairs Khan opposite Genelia Deshmukh, in what’s shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s most anticipated onscreen pairings of the year. The film is helmed by R.S. Prasanna, known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, and for his biopic On A Quest based on Swami Chinmayananda. Prasanna is celebrated for blending emotion with humour, and Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to follow suit.
Aamir Khan Productions has built a reputation for heartwarming, socially conscious films, and this one looks no different. The storyline is still under wraps, but the poster alone has stirred curiosity, sparking buzz among fans and critics alike.
As cinema lovers circle June 20 on their calendars, expectations ride high. Will this spiritual successor live up to the legacy of its predecessor? With a stellar team and strong emotional pull, all signs point to yes.
