Mumbai: An unidentified woman allegedly entered actor Aditya Roy Kapur’s residence in Bandra West. The woman claimed she wanted to give the actor a gift and entered his home. However, the actor did not recognise her. Based on a complaint filed by the actor’s maid, the Khar police registered a case against her for alleged house trespass on May 26.
About The Case
According to the FIR, actor Aditya Roy Kapur resides at Rizvi Complex in Bandra West. On May 26, the actor was away for a shoot, and his domestic help was alone at home. At around 6 pm that day, the doorbell rang. Upon answering, the maid found a woman at the door. The woman asked whether it was the residence of actor Aditya Roy Kapur. When the maid confirmed it was, the woman said she had brought clothes and other gifts for the actor. Believing her, the maid allowed her to enter. The maid asked what time she was supposed to come, and the woman replied, “6 pm.”
Soon after, the actor returned home. The maid informed him about the woman’s presence and her intention to meet him. However, upon seeing her, the actor said he did not recognise her. The woman attempted to approach the actor, prompting him to leave the house and contact society manager who then informed the actor’s manager, Shruti Rao, who quickly arrived at Rizvi Heights and contacted the Khar police.
When the maid asked the woman to leave, she refused and insisted on staying at the actor’s residence.
The Khar police soon reached the spot and began an inquiry. The woman identified herself as a 47-year-old resident of Dubai. However, when asked about the purpose of her visit and from where she arrived at the actor’s residence, she evaded the questions.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the police concluded that she had unlawfully entered the actor’s home with possible criminal intent. A complain was filed against her under Section 331(2) (Punishment for house-trespass or house-breaking).
The alleged intrusion incident involving Aditya Roy Kapur comes months after actor Sai Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed with a knife by an intruder inside his 12th floor apartment in upscale Bandra of Mumbai.
The Saif Ali Khan attack incident took place on January 16 this year.
The 54-year-old actor underwent an emergency surgery and was discharged after five days.
