HanuMan ranks as ZEE5 Global’s second top Telugu opener

Dubai: ZEE5 Global, the world’s largest streaming platform for South Asian content, has announced the huge success of HanuMan on the platform. After a successful theatrical run, this larger-than-life adventure, directed by Prasanth Varma and starring Teja Sajja, continues its winning streak on ZEE5 Global. On its first day, it ranked as the second-biggest Telugu movie to premiere on the platform till date, following the monumental success of RRR; and the second-biggest opener across all movies this year after Sam Bahadur.

This Telugu superhero hit has fueled a surge in the overall Telugu content viewership on ZEE5 Global. In parallel to its popularity other key titles like RRR, Bimbisara, Bangaraju, and Kartikeya 2 are experiencing a notable uptick in viewership with Telugu consistently ranking among the platform’s top 3 languages consumed. Despite its initial low budget, ‘HanuMan’ became a global success, trending on ZEE5 Global in key markets like the USA, UK, UAE, Canada and Australia.

Since its launch, HanuMan has contributed to nearly 60% of the platform’s subscriptions from the US alone.
