One of the city’s latest projects involves the filming of Silver Spoon in Dubai, the third installment in the “Silver Spoon” series by Plus Studio. Filming is underway with support from the Dubai Film and TV Commission, marking Plus Studio’s first collaboration in the Middle East and North Africa.

The Dubai Film and TV Commission has played a vital role in making Dubai an attractive destination for filmmakers. They provided Plus Studio and the Kinopoisk streaming platform with full support, securing permits and ensuring a smooth production process with assistance from government and private entities alike. Established in 2012, the Commission’s mission is to boost Dubai’s standing as a global film hub by collaborating with local authorities and key stakeholders to streamline filming.

The Silver Spoon in Dubai production is set to release in Russia in 2025, followed by a launch on Kinopoisk, one of Russia’s top streaming platforms. This film marks the start of a promising partnership between Dubai and the Russian market, bringing together teams like Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defense, and private entities such as One&Only Za’abeel and Hamdan Sports Complex.
