Dubai: Internationally acclaimed pianist, UAE vocalist, and multi-talented musician, Clarita de Quiroz, is set to release her debut classical album A New Key on 6 December 2024. The album signifies a return to her classical roots, blending reworked timeless compositions with contemporary sounds. This new collection includes piano sonatas, etudes, and original pieces, showcasing her creative evolution.
Clarita, whose versatile career spans commercial music, fashion, and film, describes A New Key as a bold step into a new style. “While rooted in classical music, each piece is reworked in a way that feels fresh and unique,” she shares.
The album features standout tracks like:
- “New Recipe of Moonlight” – A personal reimagining of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, infused with Clarita’s emotional intensity.
- “Stellaturca” – A fusion of Mozart’s Alla Turca and Hans Zimmer’s Docking Scene from Interstellar, blending classical playfulness with cinematic depth.
- “Wounds and Wings” – An original composition, reflecting Clarita’s personal journey from pain to hope.
“A New Key” is more than an album; it’s a reflection of Clarita’s personal growth and vulnerability. “It reveals parts of me I haven’t shared before,” she says.
Clarita’s career includes collaborations with global icons like Sir Elton John and Macy Gray, alongside chart-topping albums in the UAE. She is now set to redefine classical music with innovative fusions that appeal to a global audience. The album also features contributions from violinist Ian Cris Tocle and Spanish producer Alex Guerrero, adding rich orchestral layers to its sound.
