SHARJAH: The Sharjah Literature Festival (SLF) is making its debut from January 17 to 21, 2025, under the inspiring slogan “Emirati Tales Inspire the Future.”

This prestigious event is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with guidance from Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA). Organised by the Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) and SBA, the festival promises an enriching blend of literature, culture, and innovation.

Taking place at the open area opposite University City Hall, events run daily from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The Sharjah Literature Festival will spotlight the UAE’s deep-rooted storytelling traditions and provide opportunities to connect with leading Emirati authors, thinkers, and publishers.

Visitors can expect book signings, interactive workshops, cultural performances, and panel discussions that delve into modern publishing challenges and trends. The festival’s mission is to inspire the next generation of writers and publishers while celebrating the UAE’s literary achievements.
