This quirky program invites interns to snooze their way through 60 days, aiming to hit that golden 9-hour sleep goal, take power naps, and test out a brand-new Wakefit mattress. And let’s just say, last year’s competition was anything but a snooze fest.

First, the winner has to stand out from a staggering crowd of 500,000 hopefuls, all vying for a spot in this sleepy showdown. Once in, the chosen 12 battled it out, each earning a cool INR 1 lakh (approx. AED 4,000) stipend just to sleep—literally.

Wakefit interns sleep winner

In 2023, Bengaluru’s own Saishwari Patil, an auditor by day and a sleep champion by night, took home the Wakefit interns sleep crown (or should we say pillow?) and a whopping INR 9 lakh (approx. AED 40,000) prize. Not bad for two months of quality shut-eye!

Over the course of the program, these sleep interns collectively clocked in a jaw-dropping 7,000 hours of sleep, with their snoozing skills carefully tracked and judged on sleep efficiency.

The Wakefit sleep competition hit its peak with a live “sleep-off,” where the top four finalists interns cozied up in custom sleep pods, snoring out competition for the ultimate title. With a near-perfect sleep efficiency score of 99%, Saishwari snored her way to victory, proving she was the real deal in the art of sleeping.
