The 4th Cultural Carwan Urdu Festival returns to Abu Dhabi with a vibrant celebration of literature, music, and storytelling on 23 November 2025.
ABU DHABI: In a heartening showcase of community and cultural pride, professionals from across the UAE are joining forces to host the 4th Cultural Carwan Urdu Festival. Set to take place on 23 November 2025 at the Millennium Al Rawdah Hotel, the event brings together bankers, doctors, engineers, and educators with a shared mission — to celebrate the timeless beauty of the Urdu language.
Presented by RAKBANK, the festival has grown steadily since its humble 2019 origins. What began as a modest gathering of Urdu lovers is now a major cultural event in the capital, drawing literary enthusiasts, performers, and audiences from across the region.

This year’s highlight is a special appearance by acclaimed Pakistani actress Hina Dilpazeer, who will enthral audiences with her signature storytelling style, fusing drama, humour, and literary references. The event programme also features Mushaira (poetry recital), Dastangoi (traditional storytelling), Ghazal performances, and Qawwali, bridging generations through art and language.
The festival is led by Cultural Carwan, founded by UAE professionals who wanted to preserve and promote Urdu through community-driven events. Co-founder Dr. Asim Wasti said, “Urdu connects us beyond borders. We invite all Urdu lovers to enjoy a day of literature, music, and culture.”
Founder Syed Sarosh Asif, a senior banker, added, “This festival proves that Urdu is more than just a language — it’s an emotion that unites people from diverse walks of life. Our goal is to pass this heritage to the next generation growing up in the UAE.”
Entry is free, but booking is required due to limited seating. Cultural Carwan invites families, students, and professionals alike to experience an unforgettable day that celebrates art, identity, and tradition.
