Continental revives discarded tyres with Art Exhibit at Dubai Design Week

Continental, a leading force in tire and technology innovation, is poised to reinvigorate discarded tires into potent symbols of human trust through a unique exhibit called the ‘Circle of Trust.’ This exceptional installation will be featured at this year’s Dubai Design Week, running from November 7th to 12th.

In line with their dedication to sustainability and a commitment to exploration, Continental has joined forces with the acclaimed artist Moey to craft an artistic presentation that delves into the fundamental query: ‘Whom do you place your trust in?’ This endeavor will inject fresh vitality into discarded tires, endowing them with profound significance.

Over 100 individuals, encompassing members of the public and representatives from the media, engaged in exclusive interviews led by the artist Moey to share their reflections on the concept of trust. These responses have been engraved onto each tire, infusing the installation with a deeply personal and human dimension.

The anchor event of Dubai Design Week, Downtown Design 2023 marks the 10th edition of the fair and will showcase over 300 internationally renowned brands and manufacturers alongside independent designers, collectives and studios from the region and beyond, featuring their latest collections, innovative products and design solutions.

The 10th edition of Downtown Design is taking place on 8 – 11 November, 2023, on the d3 Waterfront Terrace in Dubai Design District (d3).
