DUBAI: The biggest-ever edition of DUBAI GAMES 2025 concluded at Dubai Festival City, awarding champion teams a total of AED3.35 million in prizes. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and attended by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, the event welcomed 244 teams from around the world.

Sheikh Hamdan praised the competition’s success, highlighting its role in positioning Dubai as a global hub for sports and innovation. He commended the winners for their dedication and teamwork, reinforcing Dubai’s growing influence in global sporting events.

Global participation and winners

The sixth edition saw record participation across various categories:

Battle of the Government (Men’s): Ministry of Defence claimed first place, followed by Dubai State Security and Abu Dhabi Police.

Battle of the Government (Women’s): Ministry of Education won gold, with Ministry of Defence and Dubai Police taking silver and bronze.

Battle of the Community: Ajman Team secured first place, followed by Ajman Stud and Esaad.

Battle of the Cities: Montreal, Canada, and Colorado, USA, shared the top spot, while Saint Petersburg, Russia, finished third.

Battle of the Juniors: Gravity x Backyard Ninjas emerged as champions, with Block20 x Empire and Rashid Bin Humaid Boys School placing second and third.

Record-breaking prize money

The prize pool saw a major increase, with AED500,000 awarded to the top teams in the Battle of the Government and Battle of the Community categories. The Battle of the Cities awarded the top ten teams, with AED500,000 for first place and AED20,000 for ninth and tenth.

Spectacular turnout and strong partnerships

The event attracted over 25,000 spectators, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Organised with the support of Dubai Sports Council, it was backed by key sponsors including DP World, DAMAC Group, Emarat, DEWA, First Abu Dhabi Bank, and M42.
