Arab Badminton Championship starts in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Arab Badminton Championship commenced at the Ministry of Sports Hall in Riyadh, organized by the Saudi Badminton Federation. Running from January 29 to February 2, the championship boasts the participation of 100 players from 15 Arab teams.

The tournament encompasses various categories, including men’s and women’s singles and doubles, youth singles and doubles, and mixed doubles for both youth and adults. This diverse setup ensures a dynamic and engaging competition across different age groups and playing styles.

The opening day witnessed a grand ceremony attended by key figures in badminton, including Dr. Sawsan Taqawi, the President of the Arab Badminton Federation, and Muqrin Al-Muqrin, the President of the Saudi Badminton Federation. Additionally, heads of participating federations and delegations graced the occasion.
