M42 kidney.com offers free AI-powered kidney health education to help people better understand and manage chronic kidney disease risks.
ABU DHABI: M42 has launched kidney.com, a new AI-powered platform designed to help people better understand kidney health and make informed decisions about chronic kidney disease.
Developed together with Diaverum, M42’s global renal care business, the platform provides free personalised kidney health education through a conversational AI assistant trained on trusted medical information and clinical guidance.
The launch of M42 kidney.com begins in the UAE, France, Germany, Portugal and the UK, with plans to expand into additional markets in the future. Officials said the platform was created to improve awareness of chronic kidney disease, which continues to affect millions worldwide and places major pressure on healthcare systems.
Users can access personalised educational support through interactive conversations designed to explain kidney health in simple and easy-to-understand language. The platform also includes voice control, multilingual support and the ability to interpret product labels through file uploads.
M42 said the AI assistant was developed with input from more than 30 kidney specialists, doctors and nurses across 13 countries. During testing, the platform completed over 14,000 chat interactions before its public launch.
According to company officials, M42 kidney.com is intended to support education and prevention rather than replace professional medical care. The company stressed that the platform is not designed to diagnose diseases or provide treatment recommendations.
Health experts say chronic kidney disease is one of the fastest-growing long-term health conditions globally. In the UAE, studies estimate that between four and five per cent of adults may be affected, with risks increasing with age and lifestyle-related conditions.
M42 executives said the platform reflects a wider shift towards preventive healthcare powered by artificial intelligence, data and personalised learning tools. They added that better patient education can help reduce complications, hospital visits and emergency care needs.
The company believes AI-driven education tools such as M42 kidney.com could help improve awareness, encourage healthier lifestyles and support earlier intervention for kidney-related conditions.
