This new initiative is perfect for owners of private vehicles with Sharjah plates, provided the cars are under eight years old and their last technical inspection occurred within the past 18 months. Forget the queues at inspection centres—now you can handle it all through the Rafid app.

Using the app’s “Remote Inspection” feature, users simply upload clear photos of their car, ensuring it’s free of accident damage. Once submitted, the process is reviewed remotely, making trips to traditional inspection centres a thing of the past.

Colonel Khalid Mohammed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licencing Department at Sharjah Police, stated that this smart solution is part of the emirate’s ongoing digital transformation. The goal? To improve quality of life by delivering faster and more effective services to residents.
