Sharjah Police launch ‘one-day test’ initiative for student drivers

Sharjah: The ‘One Day test’ is a brand-new program that Sharjah Police has introduced for concurrent driver’s license tests.

The program will combine the civil and preliminary exams on the same day, enabling candidates to take both exams simultaneously. The One Day exam program is intended for recent high school graduates and National Service applicants.

The program will come to a conclusion in September, according to Colonel Khaled Mohamed El-Kay, Director of the Mechanics and Drivers Licensing Department, and the service will be provided in two phases: electronically and physically.

The first part will be conducted electronically without requiring attendance in person. An applicant only needs to use the MOI (Ministry of Interior) application to open a new driver’s license file.

The applicant advances to the second step, which involves practical training, after passing the online theory test. The preliminary and civil examinations will then be held on the same day at the final test date.
