Hotpack sustainable packaging now covers 96 per cent of its portfolio as environmentally friendly or recyclable, alongside new sustainability recognition and operational initiatives.

DUBAI: UAE-headquartered Hotpack says 96 per cent of its product portfolio is now environmentally friendly or recyclable, highlighting how Hotpack sustainable packaging is becoming increasingly central to the manufacturer’s global growth strategy. The figure is also published on the company’s current sustainability platform.

The company disclosed the figure in its 2025 sustainability report, “Our Impact. Our Future”, released on September 15, 2026. The report covers product development, responsible manufacturing, employee wellbeing, governance and community initiatives.

A major highlight is Hotpack’s EcoVadis Gold Medal. The company says it achieved an overall assessment score of 80 out of 100 and reached the 97th percentile.

EcoVadis independently confirms that its Gold Medal is awarded to companies ranking in the top five per cent of businesses assessed during the preceding 12 months. Its assessment covers environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

Hotpack sustainable packaging includes products made using recycled-content materials alongside plant-based and other environmentally focused alternatives. Its sustainability platform highlights paper, plastic, aluminium and eco ranges, as well as circularity initiatives involving recycled PET.

The latest announcement comes as the Dubai-founded company continues expanding internationally. Hotpack says it has more than 4,000 products and serves customers across more than 100 countries. The business was established in Dubai in 1995 and has since developed into a multinational packaging manufacturer and distributor.

Its environmental strategy extends beyond individual packaging products. Hotpack says its manufacturing approach includes resource efficiency, responsible sourcing and measures designed to reduce waste and environmental impact across its supply chain.

The company also reported investment in its workforce and communities. According to the newly released report, Hotpack employs more than 4,500 people representing over 33 nationalities and recorded zero workplace fatalities during 2025. Employees received an average of 78 hours of training during the year.

Community initiatives included Ramadan programmes involving more than 200 volunteers, alongside projects supporting outdoor workers, environmental awareness and mangrove restoration.

The latest results show how Hotpack sustainable packaging is being positioned as part of the company’s wider international expansion rather than as a standalone environmental initiative.

Impact to expect

The shift could increase demand for recyclable and lower-impact food packaging across the UAE while encouraging businesses to consider sustainability credentials more closely when selecting packaging suppliers.
