AJMAN: Al Safia Park and Ajman Chamber Park have been awarded the Green Flag Award 2024-2025, recognising Ajman Municipality’s efforts in maintaining world-class green spaces that prioritise sustainability, accessibility, and community engagement.
The Green Flag Award is a global benchmark for high-quality parks and green spaces. Winning this honour highlights Ajman’s commitment to environmental sustainability, visitor safety, and inclusive public spaces. The awarded parks feature lush greenery, well-maintained gardens, and facilities catering to People of Determination, ensuring an accessible and enjoyable environment for all.
Dr. Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, credited the achievement to rigorous urban planning and adherence to international sustainability standards. “These parks have become community hubs, balancing environmental care with recreational activities, making them valuable assets to the city,” he said.
Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of Agriculture and Public Parks, noted that this award reinforces Ajman’s goal of creating globally recognised urban spaces. “Our vision is to upgrade parks into welcoming, environmentally friendly, and culturally rich spaces that enhance community well-being while preserving the emirate’s heritage,” he said.
Ajman Municipality continues to expand and improve green spaces, ensuring they meet international benchmarks. In previous years, Flag Park, Jadat Al Ezz Park, and Ghabat Al Regayeb Park were also recognised with the Green Flag Award, further cementing Ajman’s reputation for high-quality public parks.
