RAS AL KHAIMAH: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the UAE-India: Partnership for Enduring Prosperity – Business Meet at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah.
The event brought together key dignitaries, including Uday Samant, Maharashtra’s Cabinet Minister for Industries, and Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul-General of India to Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Business leaders and representatives from major companies also participated.
Sheikh Saud highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and India, built on mutual respect and a shared vision for prosperity. He emphasised Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to expanding partnerships with Indian businesses, recognising the significant potential in trade and investment opportunities.
“We in Ras Al Khaimah recognise the immense potential that can be realised through enhancing our cooperation with India,” he said. “Expanding our partnerships will drive innovation, create jobs, and open new opportunities for businesses.”
A key highlight of the event was the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones (RAKEZ) partnered with the Federation of Indian Industry and the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to strengthen trade and investment ties. One MoU focuses on supporting Indian companies in RAK with tailored services and business spaces, while the other aims to boost trade and joint projects between Ras Al Khaimah and Maharashtra.
The forum also marked the announcement of the Global Maharashtra Business Forum in Ras Al Khaimah. This platform will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to explore new business collaborations and strengthen economic ties between the UAE and India.
With such initiatives, Ras Al Khaimah is reinforcing its position as a thriving hub for international business and investment, ensuring long-term prosperity for both nations.
