Apple sales forecast beats expectations with stronger growth outlook, driven by Mac demand and resilient global performance across key product segments.

CUPERTINO: Apple sales forecast beats expectations after the technology giant projected stronger-than-anticipated revenue growth for its fiscal third quarter, signalling continued consumer demand despite ongoing supply challenges.

The company said it expects sales to grow between 14 and 17 per cent, well above market forecasts of 9.5 per cent growth. The upbeat outlook sent Apple shares higher in after-hours trading, reflecting renewed investor confidence in the firm’s performance trajectory.

Apple also reported solid results for its fiscal second quarter, with revenue reaching $111.18 billion and earnings of $2.01 per share, both exceeding analyst estimates. The performance was supported by strong demand for its latest MacBook models, contributing to better-than-expected Mac sales of $8.4 billion.

While iPhone revenue remained dominant at $56.99 billion, it slightly missed expectations despite a major product refresh. Other segments delivered encouraging results, with iPad sales at $6.91 billion and wearables, including the Apple Watch, generating $7.9 billion in revenue.

Regional performance was also a highlight, particularly in China where revenue reached $20.5 billion, surpassing forecasts. This indicates continued resilience in one of Apple’s most important international markets.

Looking ahead, Apple sales forecast beats expectations even as executives cautioned about ongoing chip supply constraints that could impact production timelines. Investors are also closely watching developments around Siri, as Apple explores enhancements using external artificial intelligence technologies.

The company further reassured shareholders by announcing an additional $100 billion share buyback programme, matching last year’s commitment. Apple sales forecast beats expectations, reinforcing its position as a leading force in the global technology sector.
