BurJuman Mall’s Summer Mall Walk returns for a second season, offering Dubai residents a cool and accessible indoor fitness option throughout the summer months.
DUBAI: Looking for a way to stay active during Dubai’s intense summer heat? BurJuman Mall believes it has the answer with the return of its popular Summer Mall Walk initiative, which is back for a second season to help residents maintain healthy routines without stepping into the scorching temperatures outdoors.
Starting from June 15 and running until the end of summer, the programme will allow visitors to access the mall from 7am daily, providing a comfortable, air-conditioned environment for walking, exercise and community wellness activities. Participants can enter through Entrance 2 near the Metro Entrance and Entrance 5 at the Al Mankhool Entrance.
But why are indoor walking initiatives becoming increasingly popular in Dubai?
As temperatures rise during the summer months, many residents find it difficult to maintain outdoor fitness routines. Walking remains one of the simplest and most effective forms of exercise, yet extreme weather conditions often limit opportunities to stay active. This has encouraged malls and public venues to rethink how their spaces can support healthier lifestyles.
BurJuman Mall’s Summer Mall Walk aligns with Dubai’s broader efforts to promote health and wellbeing by transforming everyday locations into accessible spaces for physical activity. The initiative provides a practical solution for people of all ages and fitness levels, from early-morning fitness enthusiasts and working professionals to families with children and senior residents seeking a safe environment for regular exercise.
The programme is not limited to dedicated fitness enthusiasts. It is equally suitable for individuals aiming to increase their daily step count, enjoy a relaxed morning walk, or establish healthier habits during the summer season. The controlled indoor environment offers a comfortable alternative to outdoor exercise while encouraging social interaction and community engagement.
More importantly, the initiative reflects the evolving role of shopping centres in Dubai. Increasingly, malls are becoming lifestyle destinations that extend beyond retail and entertainment. Wellness activities, family-friendly experiences and community-focused programmes are now key elements of the visitor experience.
With the launch of season two, BurJuman Mall is further strengthening its position as a community hub that supports healthy living. By offering residents a cool and convenient place to walk, the Summer Mall Walk provides an easy way to stay active, connected and motivated throughout the hottest months of the year.
