ABU DHABI: The Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation has contributed AED5 million in aid to support the ‘UAE stands with Lebanon’ relief campaign. This initiative follows the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The announcement was made during the Zayed Foundation’s participation in the campaign’s activities at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. The AED5 million donation includes AED3 million in cash and AED2 million in in-kind assistance. This aid package comprises 10,000 food parcels, 5,000 blankets, 1,200 winter kits, 5,000 mattresses, 1,000 relief kits, 2,000 solar-powered fans, 1,000 first-aid kits, 15,000 clothing sets, and more. These resources will benefit over 25,000 families, impacting more than 125,000 people.

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Foundation’s Board of Trustees, emphasised that the UAE’s humanitarian efforts, led by its leadership, are part of the country’s ongoing support for brotherly nations. He highlighted that humanitarian work and generosity have been core values of the UAE since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director-General of the Zayed Foundation, praised the UAE’s leadership and the broad support from citizens and residents for the Lebanese people. He noted that this contribution is part of a larger campaign that unites charitable organisations, government bodies, and individuals to provide relief.

The Zayed Foundation has also implemented key projects in Lebanon, such as the Sheikh Zayed School in Tripoli, Sir El Dinnieh Government Hospital, and the Zayed Library at Manar University, further demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian aid.
