British Orchard Nursery unveils inclusive nursery initiative BONSAI, supporting children of determination through integrated therapy and education.

Dubai: British Orchard Nursery (BON), the UAE’s leading early childhood education provider, marked a transformative graduation season by launching its Inclusive nursery initiative — BONSAI: British Orchard Nursery’s Speciality for Accessibility and Inclusion.

With over 1,500 children graduating across 36 branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, nearly half of whom were from government-affiliated nurseries, BON reaffirmed its role in shaping the UAE’s educational vision. Its newest milestone, BONSAI, exemplifies this commitment by embedding therapeutic support within mainstream classrooms. Designed for children of determination, BONSAI offers speech, occupational, and ABA therapy aligned with personalised Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring inclusive learning in a natural, supportive environment.

The inclusive nursery initiative alleviates stress for parents by consolidating therapy, education, counselling, and family support under one roof. This expansion builds on BON’s parenting platform launched in 2023.

Dr Vandana Gandhi, CEO and Founder of BON, expressed gratitude to UAE leadership for fostering education and empowerment, noting partnerships with entities like Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, and MOHRE. “With the launch of BONSAI, we reaffirm our belief that every child, regardless of ability, deserves to grow, learn, and belong at the heart of the classroom,” she said. BONSAI aligns with the UAE’s 2025 Year of Community, themed ‘Hand in Hand’, spotlighting inclusion and shared growth.

Celebrations also marked milestone partnerships, including 14 years with Dubai Municipality and 16 with RTA. Sayed Ismail Al Hashimi from Dubai Municipality applauded the collaboration, recognising the young graduates as the city’s future.

Notably, the first batch from the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department Nursery also graduated. Al Freej Nursery, developed by BON with KHDA, brings Emirati values to the classroom through heritage visits and intergenerational learning.

With more than 30 national and international awards and 36 branches across the UAE and UK, BON remains a pioneer in accessible, high-quality early education. The inclusive nursery initiative further strengthens its role as a trusted partner for Emirati families and government entities alike.
