TEHRAN: The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel reached a fifth consecutive day on Tuesday, as both nations exchanged fresh missile attacks. The focus keyphrase Iran Israel conflict captures this dramatic surge in hostilities.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced a new round of missile launches targeting Israeli air bases allegedly used for launching strikes against the Islamic Republic. According to Iran’s state television, the missile wave struck key air force bases, which it claims are directly involved in recent aggression toward Iran.
On the other side, an Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that their forces carried out “precise and pre-planned operations” targeting 12 locations within Iran. These strikes were reportedly aimed at missile launch platforms responsible for initiating Iran’s attacks.
Adding to the unfolding crisis, Israeli army spokesperson Effie Defrin stated that Israeli jets also bombed three major facilities believed to store underground materials intended for future strikes against Israel.
The Iran Israel conflict has quickly intensified over the past week, marking a new and dangerous chapter in Middle East hostilities. Experts say this is the most direct and sustained exchange between the two nations in recent years, raising fears of a wider regional war.
So far, both sides claim they are acting in self-defence, with Iran targeting air bases it says are launching attacks, and Israel striking what it calls hostile military infrastructure within Iranian territory.
The international community has expressed concern over the Iran Israel conflict, urging both nations to de-escalate immediately to avoid a broader confrontation that could draw in other regional powers.
