World Police Summit 2025 gathers global law enforcement to tackle AI threats, cross-border crime, and future policing challenges.
Dubai: The World Police Summit 2025 opened at Dubai World Trade Centre with participation from over 100 countries. Organised by Dubai Police and DXB Live, the summit brings together top leaders from INTERPOL, the UN, and global police agencies to redefine the future of policing.
Held under the theme “Beyond the Badge: Envision the Next Era of Policing”, the summit focuses on cross-border collaboration, AI in law enforcement, and combating transnational crime. Day one spotlighted key topics including organised crime, post-digital transformation, anti-money laundering, and borderless policing through strategic sessions and expert panels.
The plenary featured leaders from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), NYPD, and INTERPOL discussing global security threats and tools for digital investigations. Dr Hatem Ali of UNODC warned, “International criminal networks are exploiting AI more efficiently than most governments. We must develop adaptive legal systems and institutional capacities.”
Lt. Col. Dr Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri, Secretary-General of the World Police Summit 2025, highlighted the summit’s evolution: “Each year we expand the agenda—from cooperation to shaping future policing. This year, we challenge agencies to think beyond borders and badges.”
Panels delved into cybercrime, youth empowerment, aviation security, and AI-led policing models. A notable session titled “Rehabilitation for the New Era of Threats” included top officials from Belgium, Nigeria, Bahrain, and NYPD, advocating for trust-building, leadership innovation, and AI-driven training systems.
An exhibition featuring 170+ companies like Samsung, Du, Esri, and Inkas Armoured Vehicles complements the summit, showcasing future-ready security solutions.
The World Police Summit 2025 runs until 15 May, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for progressive policing solutions.
