Dubai: The 30 days of 30 minutes of fitness activities just ended and we were all invited and encouraged to swap watching the TV for trainers and get active.

The Dubai 30×30 Fitness Challenge is an annual celebration of fitness and wellness. Now, in its sixth year, Dubai Fitness Challenge proposes a simple goal: to complete 30 minutes of activity each day for 30 days. Each year the aim is to inspire everyone to be more active and seek healthy lifestyles. With a month-long calendar of free workouts, exciting fitness events and wellness entertainment across the city, there’s always plenty of inspiration to keep moving.

But what did we do at SISD for the 30×30 challenge?

Here at the school, we have a range of activities to get the heart pumping, from fitness sessions to football, gym sessions to jogging, climbing to swimming, there is something for every sporting level.

We encourage all our students (and staff!) to get involved in this fantastic initiative.

Why get involved?

Participation in regular physical activity has been proven time and time again to have a positive impact on a range of areas.

For example, exercise reduces stress levels and increases energy. It also reduces feelings of depression, anxiety and stress, while increasing self-esteem.

After a few days of starting the challenge, it’s highly likely you’ll experience better sleep. Soon, you may feel a rise in your confidence levels. After a week or two, you will surely see increased positivity, a better mood and an increased appetite.

All those benefits just for 30 minutes a day? What’s to lose?

Essentially, participating in physical activity can play a major role in preventing mental health problems and improving quality of life.

Wherever you are and wherever you go, fitness is within reach, just log onto the official 30/30 website and see what is happening near you: www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com. 30×30 fitness challenge 30×30 fitness challenge

So, 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days, do you have what it takes? Are you up for the challenge?
